Location: Global Optics UK, BH12 1DW
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary: Depending on experience

Our commitment to excellence drives our reputation for delivering exceptional products. We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team.

 

Role Overview:
The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards by ensuring that every product meets rigorous quality and precision standards. You will be responsible for inspecting optical components during various stages of production, recording results, and collaborating with the production team to ensure any non-conformances are resolved promptly.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of optical components using tools such as interferometers, micrometres, and callipers.

  • Measure dimensions, optical clarity, surface quality, and coating performance.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and generate quality reports.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.

  • Clean and maintain the inspection room to ensure it meets hygiene and organizational standards.

  • Perform other duties such as cleaning and tidying other areas of the building as required.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications (Training Will Be Provided):

  • Experience in a quality control or inspection role, ideally in optics, precision engineering, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with inspection equipment and techniques for optical components.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect subtle imperfections.

  • Basic understanding of technical drawings and specifications.

  • Proficiency in using computer software for documentation and reporting.

  • Basic mathematical skills to assist in measurements and calculations.
     

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards.

  • Familiarity with metrology software or tools.
